Carnival Mardi Gras Updates: Food & Faces

The last 24 hours has seen some very exciting news released about Carnival Cruise Line’s next ship, Mardi Gras. We’re excited to share with you some new ship features and the vessel’s first cruise & entertainment directors.

Get ready to experience the highly anticipated Mardi Gras, set to debut in 2020! Mardi Gras offers you new and only-on-Mardi Gras dining and bar spots. Never offered on any other Carnival ship are Street Eats, RedFrog Tiki Bar, and the Watering Hole all found in Lido and Summer Landing zones!

Some of the world’s favorite flavors aren’t found in restaurants, but on the street in trucks, stalls and carts where flavor, convenience… and quality matter. When you’re just feet from the chef, they’ve gotta cook to impress! Street Eats is Carnival’s tribute to this food phenomenon, debuting aboard Mardi Gras with three ever-changing open-air stations – one that specializes in steamed stuff like bao buns and shumai, one that puts the “skill” in skillet with the likes of kebab and satay, and – oh yes – the station that fries up favorites like empanadas and falafel. On Mardi Gras you may be far from the street, but flavor’s right around the corner.

Carnival’s Chief Fun Officer and NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal is bringing Big Chicken to sea! The first Big Chicken at sea will debut aboard Carnival Radiance in 2020, and the second and largest Big Chicken at sea can be found aboard Mardi Gras!

You can enjoy all-inclusive breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus featuring Shaq’s favorite recipes, test-tasted by the star himself.
