Disney News: New Magic Kingdom Opening, Two Disneyland Returns & Big Awards

We thought we’d start your week off with a few cool news updates from the various Disney destinations.

A New Way to Start the Day at Magic Kingdom Park Begins Today

Starting today, you can experience the opening of Magic Kingdom Park with some new enhancements!

For those who have experienced the park’s “opening moment” during previous visits, they may recall waiting at the front of the park to kick off the day.

Beginning today you will be allowed to enter the Main Street, U.S.A. area of the park even earlier than the park’s scheduled opening time. This will allow you time to savor the charm of Main Street, U.S.A., enjoy breakfast or a warm drink at the Main Street Bakery featuring Starbucks. Then promptly at opening, a new welcome show will officially open the park for the day on the Castle Forecourt Stage. A Royal Herald will appear to deliver a proclamation and welcome a few familiar characters to the stage, officially opening the park so “the magic can begin!”

With the classic Main Street Electrical Parade coming home to Disneyland® Park on Jan. 20, 2017, spring 2017 is already shaping up to be a great blast to the past for Disneyland fans. Now there’s even more excitement in the air with the return of the beloved fireworks spectacular “Remember… Dreams Come True.”
