Ever Wonder What Happens During Holidays at Sea?
We’re often asked if cruise ships have special holiday events onboard for Christmas, New Year’s Eve, etc. Today, we’re answering that question with an example of how Carnival Cruise Line plans to celebrate the coming holidays on their ships.
Almost every cruise line will offer some form of Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations, while other lines will also offer Halloween, 4th of July and other holiday events. Here’s how Carnival’s ships will celebrate:
- Christmas Service – A Christmas service in the Main Lounge either Saturday, December 24th or Sunday, December 25th depending on the ship’s schedule
- New Year’s Eve – Atrium with Balloon Drop at 11PM on Dec 31st, New Year’s Eve Bash on Lido Deck & New Year’s Eve After Party in Nightclub
- Hanukkah – There will be a Hanukkah service starting Saturday, December 24th through Saturday December 31st for all guests to come together and celebrate Hanukkah with the lighting of the Menorah, prayers & songs
- Atrium Moments – Atrium moments will consist of 3 events: Tree Lighting, “Let It Snow” and ‘Tis the Season with caroling, an ugly sweater competition & a visit from Santa
- Holiday Show – The Holiday Show is a wonderful spectacular combining singing, dancing, storytelling, performances from children and crew members and a special visit from Santa
- The Grinch – Special appearances at several events on board with surprises & photo opportunities
- Santa Mailbox – Letters to Santa
- Holiday Arts & Crafts: Snowflake Charm Bracelet Craft Kit, Canvas DIY Mini Stockings & much more
As you can see, you won’t miss out on the holidays during your cruise. In fact, one of our favorite Christmas seasons was the one the Premier Custom Travel staff spent at sea sailing from Galveston. When will YOU celebrate a holiday on the high seas?
