On Friday, the CDC announced it would be allowing the No-Sail Order to expire at the end of October. With that announcement came a list of requirements that cruise lines and ships would have to meet to resume sailing. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) today issued an update which states that the current “No-Sail Order” for cruise ships departing from the United States will expire tomorrow, October 31, 2020, paving the way for a phased resumption of sailings from U.S. ports.

What will the cruising experience be like when it returns? How will COVID-19 affect how we sail and enjoy these amazing vacations? We’re starting to get a first glimpse, as today Norwegian Cruise Line introduced their policies for resuming operations. While we can’t guarantee that these exact procedures will be implemented by all cruise lines, we think it’s reasonable to expect their policies to be similar.
