Viking River Cruises Will Offer Largest Suites In Europe

Years ago, I sailed a 13-day Russian River Cruise on Viking and to this day I still consider it one of the most amazing trips I have ever taken.  Part of the charm of the vacation was the small river ship that we called home for almost two weeks.  Now, that cruise line is set to revolutionize the European small boat river cruises with several new vessels coming soon.

Meet Mickey FastPass Coming to Walt Disney World

Later this spring, face-to-face meetings with Mickey Mouse will move into a permanent new location at Town Square Theater, located inside the current Exposition Hall area at the entrance of Magic Kingdom Park.

Guests will be able to obtain a Disney’s FASTPASS ticket specifying a one-hour window when they can return to see the popular character for hugs, photos and autographs — without waiting in the standby queue. This marks the first time the complimentary, computerized service has been utilized for a character meet-and-greet at any Disney Park.

Inspired by animated shorts such as The Nifty Nineties and Mickey’s Grand Opera, this building befits Mickey’s stardom — with a grand-Victorian-theater elevation, including a marquee that glistens with gold-leaf trim and sparkles with lights. Inside, there’s a mosaic floor, lush curtains with gold rope tie-backs and polished-brass chandeliers.

Imagineers are creating new elements and surprises for the guests, including an interactive queue — with an extra touch of Disney magic — and highly themed retail shops.

Mideast Unrest Forces Itinerary Changes

ADVENTURES BY DISNEY

The Egypt family vacations scheduled through the end of August 2011 have been canceled. Any clients booked should contact us for alternate destinations or refund information.

DISNEY CRUISE LINE

Disney is modifying the 10- and 11-night European cruise itineraries aboard the Disney Magic to include a call in Palermo, Italy, instead of a scheduled stop in Tunis. The decision was made in part due to the changing political environment in Tunis and the recent Travel Alert issued by the U.S. Department of State.

Regarding the changes, a Disney Destinations spokesperson said, “As always, our first concern is for the safety and well being of Guests. We will continue to monitor our destinations and make changes if necessary.”
