Some things we might experience today include the Captain’s Welcome Reception at 5:15pm and 7:30pm in the lobby atrium. The ship is under the command of Captain Tom and we couldn’t be in better hands. A bit about our skipper:

Captain Tom Forberg has been with Disney Cruise Line since the very beginning. He is the first and longest-serving captain, oversaw the construction of all four Disney ships and served as the inaugural captain on each ship. It is only fitting that he was recently named the first Commodore in the history of the company.

One fun thing you might consider doing on your first day at sea is visiting the Senses Spa. They have all sorts of treatments for adults (and even some for the teens!) Whether you want a mani-pedi, a massage, or perhaps just relax and take in the view while getting your hair cut, they can take great care of you.

If you’re looking for characters, look no further than the Princess Gathering in the ship’s atrium. It’s a great chance to meet your favorite Disney heroine, plus get a photo and autograph.

Tonight, as you head off to sleep, a special Maiden Voyage gift will be waiting in your stateroom. It’s a limited-edition lithograph of the Disney Fantasy. Spoiler alert: more gifts will be coming later in the week!

Tomorrow we visit our first port: Grand Cayman.

In our next blog, we’ll explore some of the excursions available in our first port, plus other features of this amazing ship. Until we meet again, a virtual “good night” from onboard Disney Fantasy.
