Cruise360 Recap: Day Five
It’s our last day in sunny Fort Lauderdale and there’s only one thing left to do – tour one last ship.
We may have saved the best for last, as we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Holland America Line’s newest ship, ms Nieuw Statendam. The ship’s Godmother is none other than Oprah Winfrey and she recently hosted a “girls cruise” on the ship earlier this year. We hope she doesn’t hate us for borrowing this photo, but here is our friend Eva Jenner, Holland America Line’s Vice President of Sales, with the Godmother herself. Cool story about this – it was taken on Eva’s birthday. We joked with her that it was cool that Oprah came to celebrate Eva’s birthday.
Back to the ship, which is nothing short of stunning. We took almost 300 photos of this gorgeous vessel and have posted them on our Facebook page. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch in the beautiful main dining room.
This wraps up our coverage of Cruise360. We’re off to the airport and a flight home to Houston. Next year’s conference is in Vancouver, British Columbia in mid-May and we can’t wait to head back to that beautiful city. Thank you for reading.
