Disney News: Electrical Parade Extended, Coronado Springs Expansion & More

Here’s a look at some of the latest news from the various Disney Destinations we proudly represent.

Main Street Electrical Parade Extended by Popular Demand at Disneyland Park

Main Street Electrical Parade has returned to the place it began, and we’re excited to share – due to popular demand – this iconic parade will continue lighting up the night at Disneyland® Park through Aug. 20, 2017. The parade has delighted Guests since its return in January, and the limited-time engagement is being extended with encore performances so even more will be able to enjoy its nostalgic magic this summer.

A classic Disney Parks nighttime parade, the Main Street Electrical Parade began at Disneyland Park in 1972 and ended its initial run in 1996. It returned to the Disneyland Resort as Disney’s Electrical Parade, bringing magical Disney stories to Disney California Adventure® Park from 2001 until 2010, when it crossed the country to begin its run at Walt Disney World® Resort.

You can catch this limited-time engagement of Main Street Electrical Parade at Disneyland Park through Aug. 20, 2017!

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Expansion Update

Exciting changes will be made at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World® Resort in an effort to continually enhance the Guest experience. Over the next two years Disney will reimagine the existing spaces and add a 15-story tower with views overlooking beautiful Lago Dorado. By doing this, they will be creating 500 more Guest rooms, along with new features for Guests to enjoy.

Please note construction fencing will be seen at the resort, with work happening behind the fencing. Additionally, noise will be heard while the Resort is undergoing refurbishments, but noise should not be heard from inside Guest rooms prior to 9 a.m. daily.

During this time, the exceptional amenities including dining and merchandise locations, pools, La Vida Health Club with the spa and salon, and recreation activities such as beach volleyball, Iguana Arcade, Movies Under the Stars and more, will remain available for your enjoyment.
