Princess Cruises Re-Imagines Youth & Teen Centers
Together with Discovery Communications, Princess Cruises has developed new experiences and themed centers especially designed for kids and teens. Immersive environments transport intrepid explorers to a whimsical forest or a rustic lodge. And teens can kick back in a relaxed, beach house retreat.
The newly imagined spaces will debut fleetwide in 2018.
At Camp Discovery, kids can play, huddle, create & discover. Younger cruisers will go wild in the animal-themed Treehouse. Here they’ll design Klutz art projects like paper airplanes and charm bracelets, learn about how to protect furry creatures through Animal Planet and the Princess Endangered Species program and uncover their inner buccaneer on Pirate Night.
Kids ages 8-12 can explore their own Camp Discovery habitat: the outdoors-based Lodge. Here they’ll engage their minds and muscles: building rockets, experimenting through MythBusters challenges, taking part in Junior Olympics and diving into destinations through programs like “Shark Hunters,” an interactive scavenger hunt to uncover the mystery of sharks living in the Caribbean.
The Beach House, a contemporary surf-themed lounge, is the place for teens to be. There are plenty of options to enjoy — video game tournaments, movie nights, skeeball fun, dance classes, a VIP Party complete with red carpet — but just hanging out works too.
